Google has announced the launch of its Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2, set to revolutionise the tech market with advanced features and sleek designs. The Pixel Watch 3, hailed as Google’s flagship smartwatch, now comes in two sizes, 41mm and a new 45mm option, and boasts the most significant display enhancements seen in the series. The smartwatch is designed to offer superior performance with comprehensive fitness, recovery tools, and seamless integration with Google and Pixel products. One of its standout features includes the innovative Loss of Pulse Detection, which can potentially save lives by detecting critical health emergencies.
The Pixel Watch 3 is equipped with Google’s most advanced Actua displays, offering peak brightness levels of 2,000 nits, making it ideal for outdoor use. These displays provide up to 40% more screen area compared to the previous model and feature an ultra-efficient refresh rate that adjusts from 60Hz to 1Hz. The combination of Wear OS 5 and a power-efficient hybrid architecture ensures the smartwatch maintains all-day battery life. The 45mm model includes a 35% larger battery, while the 41mm version charges 20% faster, enhancing convenience for users.
Additionally, the Pixel Watch 3 introduces three new tools to help users manage their training and recovery: Daily Readiness, Cardio Load, and Target Load. These features allow users to monitor their fitness levels and plan their activities accordingly, providing a balanced approach to health and exercise. The smartwatch integrates these insights in the new Fitbit Morning Brief, delivering a daily digest of health metrics and activity goals directly to users’ wrists each morning.
On the audio front, Google is set to release the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which feature the new custom-designed Tensor A1 chip for top-tier audio performance. The earbuds are redesigned for maximum comfort and a secure fit, being 24% lighter and 27% smaller than the previous model. They also come with enhanced Active Noise Cancellation, powered by the Tensor A1’s multipath processing, which effectively cancels out more ambient noise than ever before.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are also packed with useful features such as clear calling, conversation detection, and spatial audio with head tracking, ensuring a premium auditory experience whether users are taking calls or immersed in their favourite music. Additionally, they support seamless switching between devices, thanks to Multipoint connectivity and audio switch capabilities.
The Pixel Watch 3 is available for pre-order in WiFi and LTE models, with prices starting at S$529 for the 41mm model and S$599 for the 45mm model. The 41mm model is available in a Matte Obsidian case with a Matte Black band, Porcelain with Polished Silver, and Hazel with Champagne Gold, or you can try a fresh pop of colour with the Polished Silver case with an all-new Rose Quartz band.
