In 2025, Disney Cruise Line is set to redefine the family vacation experience with the launch of the Disney Adventure, its first ship to homeport in Asia.
Sailing from Singapore, the ship promises an unmatched holiday at sea, featuring themed areas inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories. This groundbreaking venture will offer three- and four-night cruises that combine relaxation with Disney’s signature enchantment.
“We’re bringing the magic of Disney Cruise Line to Asia for the first time ever, and we want to give our guests the cruise relaxation and Disney fun they can only experience aboard one of our ships,” says Sharon Siskie, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Disney Cruise Line. “When they set sail on the Disney Adventure, guests will find incredible, immersive areas that bring the worlds of Disney, Pixar and Marvel to life in ways like never before – and these uniquely Disney experiences will inspire families to reconnect, recharge and make unforgettable memories that they’ll cherish forever.”
The ship will introduce guests to seven uniquely themed areas filled with immersive experiences and characters from beloved Disney narratives. Highlights include:
- Disney Imagination Garden: A magical hub featuring performances and activities inspired by tales like Moana and The Jungle Book.
- Disney Discovery Reef: A vibrant area celebrating aquatic-themed Disney and Pixar stories such as The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo.
- San Fransokyo Street: A dynamic district that brings to life the world of Big Hero 6 through interactive games, shops, and entertainment.
- Wayfinder Bay: A relaxing poolside retreat with designs influenced by the movie Moana.
- Town Square: A fairy-tale forest where guests can shop and dine amidst settings from Disney classics like Cinderella and Frozen.
- Marvel Landing: An area dedicated to Marvel superheroes offering thrilling attractions and experiences.
- Toy Story Place: An interactive zone where families can enjoy themed food venues and water play areas.
Sarah Fox, Vice President and Regional General Manager for Asia at Disney Cruise Line, emphasised the tailored experience for the Asian market, “By infusing Disney’s signature service with handpicked experiences unique to Asia, guests can look forward to the magic at sea through personalised touches, a selection of global cuisines, and abundant retail offerings carrying a distinct local flavour.”
The Disney Adventure is designed to offer something for everyone. Kids and teens will enjoy specially designed clubs and activities, while adults can relax at high-end dining venues, lounges, and spas. The ship also boasts luxurious concierge accommodations and an array of entertainment options including stage shows, films, and character encounters.
Scheduled to operate out of the Marina Bay Cruise Centre, the Disney Adventure is a significant addition to Singapore’s status as a cruise hub. The ship, with a passenger capacity of approximately 6,700 and a crew of 2,500, is expected to boost regional tourism.
