OCBC has joined forces with Disney, marking a strategic five-year collaboration across three of its five core markets: Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

With this new partnership, OCBC is rolling out a programme featuring branded card designs, marketing activations and financial literacy content inspired by Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars, providing special retail banking experiences and products.

The OCBC MyOwn Account soft-launches today on the OCBC app, in preparation for its official launch on 20 October. To celebrate, Wisma Atria’s OCBC branch will be spiffed up with Disney and Marvel-themed photo zones, featuring popular characters such as Stitch, Iron Man, and Spider-Man. Visitors will also have an opportunity to meet and greet “a special friend” from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch.

Financial literacy content such as comics and activity sheets for children will be available digitally on the OCBC app and website, along with print versions at its Wisma Atria branch. These feature Disney characters from Wreck-It Ralph and include financial guidance from teachers and parents. Over 100,000 physical copies of the comic will also be handed out to students at 110 secondary schools nationwide.

In addition, select OCBC cards and bank accounts will sport Disney design bundles, including merchandise like limited-edition Disney-themed OCBC pins in “blind packs”. This is set to launch by mid-2025.

Mr Sunny Quek, Head of Global Consumer Financial Services, OCBC, said, “Collaborations like these enable us to attract new customers and bring to the market products and services that are not based on pricing or rates alone. I am therefore confident we will accelerate our acquisition of new-to-bank customers across our Southeast Asia core markets in five years.”
