Taking the term ‘suffering in silence’ to a whole new level, Stormind Games‘ upcoming survival horror title, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, will feature voice detection to fully immerse players in its monster-filled universe.
Inspired by the Paramount Pictures film franchise A Quiet Place, the game will feature the series’ iconic blind creatures that hunt using only sound, with an optional microphone feature to pick up any player-made noises. With gameplay revolving around hiding from the roaming beasts, this unique system will surely lead to heart-pounding moments, further adding to the movie’s premise.
The single-player horror adventure follows protagonist Alex, a college student who suffers from asthma and must endure a treacherous through the apocalypse, amid interpersonal family conflicts while coming to terms with her inner fears.
The upcoming game will mark the latest entry in the post-apocalyptic horror franchise, alongside 2018’s A Quiet Place, 2020’s A Quiet Place Part II and 2024’s prequel A Quiet Place: Day One. A fourth movie, A Quiet Place Part III, is also currently in the works with an expected 2025 release window.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead launches on 17 October 2024 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam.
